Intro Job hunting in Burney California
Hi, My name is Amanda and I am unemployed. I have been unemployed for 6 months. I had two jobs last year that drained my soul , I couldn’t keep working there. I’ve been applying to jobs locally and it seems like a rat race. The Burney Rat Race for jobs. It’s not that I have no skills it’s just that this place looks for people who are younger. It’s mainly ethnicity is American Indian,American Mexican and high population of Caucasian. My first job in Burney was being a receptionist for a Tax place, I tried one of the bigger grocery stores here Safeway but the HR was so uninterested in hiring me that when I left she wouldn’t even shake my hand. I felt very judged even though I arrived early and smiled and did what I usually did at interviews. I’ve determined I am not white enough to work there.
