Intro Job hunting in Burney California

 Hi,

    My name is Amanda and I am  unemployed. I have been unemployed for 6 months. I had  two jobs last year that drained my soul , I couldn’t keep working there. I’ve been applying to jobs locally and it seems like a rat race. The Burney Rat Race for jobs. It’s not that I have no skills it’s just that this place looks for people who are younger. It’s mainly ethnicity is American Indian,American Mexican and high population of Caucasian. 

  My first job in Burney was being a receptionist for a Tax place,  I tried one of the bigger grocery stores here  Safeway but the HR was so uninterested in hiring me that when I left she wouldn’t even shake my hand. I felt very judged even though I arrived early and smiled and did what I usually did at interviews. I’ve determined I am not white enough to work there. A day after my interview with Safeway HR called and said she was going another direction and wanted to hire other people. A month later I was getting my groceries and a cashier says I have only been here a month and I’m leaving. Here’s the thing it’s a Union and I know that you have to work a whole bunch of hours to get pay. Here’s the thing I have no criminal record. I have experience as a cashier. This grocery store would rather have you homeless than give you a job. 

    This grocery store has a hire high over return rate ,which means they higher little and fire or high stress have people quit. So even though I have applied to Safeway in Burney about 50 times in my last two years I’ve lived here. I finally got my interview in April. I love to talk to customers. I love to do groceries , register , help customers find things, go above and beyond by loading up there groceries If they need it but If my last boss wouldn’t have crossed the line with me by telling me to work on my lunch break which is highly illegal , I might of stayed but the punishment is not worth the pain.  

     I am prediabetic and have PCOS and now I’m going through Perimenopause, also diagnosed with PTSD and high anxiety by a doctor . At the moment in my life , I just wanna have a job that I’m happy about even though the pay is low. There are a bunch of things that I do for money online that don’t require you to buy anything just need a working internet, no it’s not a scam and all show those on the next blog post.
